Recording Mixing Mastering
Marmalade Music is an audio engineering business. If you're near Dolores, CO, I can record your music. If you're anywhere at all, I can mix and master and assist with production.
Recording sessions are booked out in hour blocks. Whether it's just you and a guitar or you want to record a full band (even at the same time), I can help you with it.
If you're in need of mixing services, I'll ask you to send over either the multi-tracks or, if you use Logic Pro, you can simply send over the Logic files, and I can work directly from that. Many people get their mix to their level of completeness and just want someone to take it to the next step and return a stereo file ready for upload to Spotify/Apple Music/etc and I am happy to help with that.
If you need mastering services, simply send over either the stems if you are wanting stem mastering or your stereo mix file, and I'll return a stereo track ready for upload to Spotify/Apple Music/etc.
YOU are the creator here, and I will keep you involved however much you'd like. If you'd like to be more hands-on or hands-off, both work for me.

Meet the engineer
My name is Chris Bjornn and I've worked with music for decades, and been a full-time audio engineer for 10+ years. I started out in Salt Lake City, Utah, and now live in SW Colorado assisting folks around and remotely. That dog is Roux and he is my assistant.

Pricing & Process
(First Session is Free)
What is your pricing?
Well, the first session whether it's recording, mixing/mastering, or mastering is free. After that if you and I both feel we work well together pricing is as follows:
Recording - $45 per hour
Mixing - $50 per song, 2 free revisions, $10 per revision after (includes mastering as well)
Mastering (both stem and stereo) - $25 per song
What is your typical turnaround time?
For a single mix, expect 1-2 days. Full album masters 2-3 days. Full album mixing and mastering 1 week.
Do you offer bulk discounts for albums?
Yes, I offer package pricing for EP and full-length album projects to ensure a cohesive sound across the entire body of work. Let's discuss the project and I can give you a fair estimate.
Can we work together remotely?
Absolutely. We can collaborate via high-fidelity audio streaming.
How do you want the files sent over?
You can use a tool like Wetransfer or Swisstransfer to send over your files to my email themarmalademusic@gmail.com.
What does the revision process look like?
I use Samply to post up your music for review. If mixing or mastering, I will post up the original version and the later versions for direct comparison. Each revision is added to that Samply file for continual comparison.
How do I receive the final mix/master?
When you're happy with the sound, I will email over the final version via WeTransfer and then payment is expected after your approval of it.
How do you accept payment?
Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Cash App, and good ol' Cash. I'm happy to send you an invoice if requested.
